Monster Energy Fort Rock moves to its new home at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida
Fort Rock just announced its biggest headliner ever: The Prince of Darkness himself, metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.
The hard-rocking festival announced Ozzy and the rest of its 2018 lineup Monday morning, including big-name acts Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin.
If you want to see him, though, you’ll have to travel to the music festival’s new home in the Fort Lauderdale area.
The sixth-annual fest spent five years at JetBlue Park in south Fort Myers, but organizers announced last month that it’s moving to Markham Park in Sunrise for 2018. The move prompted an outcry on social media, but organizers said the fest’s new home will make the event bigger and better.
The fest takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29. Single day tickets are $75 ($175 for VIP). Weekend tickets are $99.50 ($299 for VIP). All ticket prices exclude applicable taxes and fees, and are subject to change.
Fort Rock is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Presents. It’s part of a U.S. festival series called the World’s Loudest Month, including Jacksonville’s Welcome to Rockville — which takes place the same weekend as Fort Rock and features many of the same bands.
