The Rivalry Continues In Orlando November 18
The Florida Classic is More then a game or an in-state rivalry. Now the Largest game between 2 historically Black Colleges is gearing up for the 2017 game on Saturday November 18, 2017 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
Since its incepeption in 1978, the game has now seen over 1.8 million spectators attend the game (1,892,687).
FAMU holds a 21-16 edge int he meetings since the instate rivalry moved from home and home games to the annual Neutral site game. Overall the Rattles lead the seriews 49-21-1.BCC has made the series more competitive in recent times, with both teams earning 10 victories in the 20 meetings since the game came to Orlando.
This year’s Florida Blue Florida Classic is features an exciting weekend of activities surrounding the game. In addition to the on-field showdown between the Rattler and Wildcat football teams, the weekend will once again feature the FAMU Marching “100” meeting the B-CU Marching Wildcats in the McDonalds Halftime Show.
“Our team is thrilled to be back in Orlando for another exciting Florida Classic,” said Michael Smith, FAMU interim director of athletics. “This is something FAMU looks forward to year after year. It will be another thrilling Classic.”
The weekend activities begin Friday, November 22. The schedule is as follows:

• Florida Classic Consortium Kickoff Luncheon presented by Florida Blue
12:00 pm doors; 12:30 pm program — Rosen Centre
• Florida Blue Battle of the Bands
7:00 pm — Amway Center
“The Florida Blue Florida Classic is one of the most highly-anticipated games in HBCU football every year,” said Lynn Thompson, director of athletics, Bethune-Cookman. “We are excited to welcome back the Marching 100 alongside the Marching Wildcats.”
On game day, the pregame FanFare begins at 9:00 AM on Tinker Field adjacent to Camping World Stadium. Tickets to the game start at $15 and are available through Ticketmaster.com.
