Former Rattler joins Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that Wide Receiver Antonio Vaughan signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for his third year of arena football and first year with the Sharks. Vaughan will join the Sharks for the 2018 season.
Antonio Vaughan (5’9”,180) spent the 2017 season with the Arizona Rattlers where he played in six regular season games hauling eight receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Vaughan helped the Rattlers 14-4 record and a United Bowl Victory over the Sioux Falls Storm. Vaughan spent his rookie season with the Arizona Rattlers in 2016, during that season the Rattlers won the National Conference and appeared in Arena Bowl XXIX. In 2015, Vaughan attended mini camp for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Vaughan attended Old Dominion where he earned First Team All-Conference USA honors. His senior year he caught 63 passes for 1,019 yards and 14 touchdowns. Vaughan also earned Second Team All-Conference USA Honors his sophomore year.
Vaughan is a native of Ahoskie, North Carolina where he earned NCpreps.com 3A All-State snapping 10 career interceptions, including four that were returned for a touchdowns.
