Warrick Dunn To Be Inducted Into Atlanta Falcons Ring of Honor
The Atlanta Falcons announced the newest member of their Ring of Honor On Tuesday, and the winner is former Buccaneer and Florida State Standout Warrick Dunne. The official induction will be later this season.
Dunn, already a member of the Florida State’s hall of Fame(2002) rushed for a FSU record 3,959 yards and had 37 touchdowns, was notified by current Falcons owner Arthur Blank about the prestigious honor.
The Baton Rouge, La. native was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 1997 draft and played in Tampa until 2001. He then went on to the Falcons from 2002-2008.
In Atlanta, Dunn rushed for more than 900 yards in four seasons and was a threat in the passing game. In his career, the 5’9 180 lb. running back ran for 10,967 yards and had another 4,339 yards receiving.
