Tommy Fleetwood’s caddie, Ian Finnis, won THE PLAYERS Championship Caddie Competition in memory of Bruce Edwards with a shot to 6 feet, 11 inches
Each year during the Wednesday practice round at THE PLAYERS, players and caddies switch roles when they arrive at the famous 17th hole, and the caddies get the opportunity to take a swing. Each player contributes to the prize fund and the caddie who ends up closest to the pin takes home the money.
This is a tradition unique to THE PLAYERS and one that provides an added layer of entertainment for the fans, players and caddies alike. The competition is named to honor Tom Watson’s longtime caddie and friend Bruce Edwards, who passed away in 2004 from ALS or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.” In 2014, in honor of the 10th anniversary of Edwards’ passing, the PGA TOUR began a tradition of matching any donations the caddies/players make, with all the money going to the Bruce Edwards Foundation.
In addition to the prize money, Callas will receive a VIP parking spot in the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse lot, Thursday–Sunday of THE PLAYERS, an engraved money clip and a framed hand-drawn sketch by Casey Jones.
Ian Finnis (Tommy Fleetwood) – 6 feet, 11 inches

Chris Berry (Brian Gay) – 13 feet, 1 inch
Matthew Kelly (Marc Leishman) – 13 feet, 11 inches
