The Cathedral Festival 2017

Festival kicks off Friday

The 32nd Annual Cathedral Festival will take place from Friday through Sunday, February 24 – 26, 2017, on the grounds of the Mission of Nombre de Dios. There will be fun for the whole family, with rides, games, raffles, bingo, food and art vendors, fireworks, and more.

The Cathedral Festival features exciting midway rides that are thrilling for all ages, like a Ferris wheel, slides and a variety of fun activities for kids.

For adults, there are raffles, auctions, and bingo on all three days of the Festival. The bingo tables are set up by the Knights of Columbus and are open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. There will be a Silent Auction from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, where visitors can bid on a wide variety of prizes. (Tables close at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.) The Cathedral Festival Super Raffle, with impressive cash prizes, will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Live Entertainment
From baton twirlers to classic rock bands, the Cathedral Festival offers a lively schedule of live entertainment. The entertainment schedule below is from 2016. We’ll update that schedule for 2017 as soon as the information becomes available.

Fireworks
There will be a fireworks show Saturday night at 9 p.m. (If it rains on Saturday, they’ll try again on Sunday night.)

Shrimp Dinner
The Cathedral Festival features a delicious fried shrimp dinner on Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. (or while supplies last). The meal includes jumbo friend shrimp, hush puppies, beans, and cole slaw. Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance and on-site.

Food and Beverages
Visitors can enjoy great food vendors at the festival, including fair food like funnel cake, popcorn, and cotton candy. Drinks will also be available, including Coca-Cola products, beer, and wine. (They ID. Please drink responsibly).

Parking
Parking is available in surrounding parking locations that can be viewed on this map. City parking lots are marked with a P and are pay/metered parking. The parking garage offers all day parking for a nominal fee. It’s three blocks from the festival with 500 parking spots available.

Admission: There is a nominal admission charge to enter the festival grounds: $5 for adults, $3 for kids aged 11-17 and seniors over 65, and free for active-duty military and kids 10 and under. Details on Ride Tickets (prices and purchase locations) will be available soon.

Where: The Festival takes place on the Mission of Nombre de Dios Mission grounds near the Giant Cross, at 101 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Cathedral Parish School and the Cathedral Parish Early Education Center.
